The skin category is estimated to be Rs.3000 crore which is highly competitive market and all leading players are vying for a share. HUL is the market leader in this category with more than 50% market share. Wipro wanted to make its stride in this category through the launch of the body lotion and its confident of about the success as the brand Santoor has got substantial market share in soaps and other categories. I felt the launch of this product is a part of strengthening its portfolio and leveraging its brand Santoor.
