Aashirvaad, the staples brand from ITC, has strengthened its portfolio with the launch of Aashirvaad Chana Sattu across East India, positioning the traditional staple as an accessible, everyday source of nutrition. Traditionally popular across the region, Sattu is valued for its taste, satiety and nutritional benefits, including protein and dietary fibre, along with minerals such as iron, zinc and magnesium. The new Aashirvaad Chana Sattu is prepared using carefully sourced chana and a traditional sand-roasting process, followed by fine grinding to deliver the characteristic aroma, flavour, golden colour and smooth texture of authentic Sattu.
The product has been introduced in two variants based on regional preferences—Chana Sattu with Jeera in Bihar and Plain Chana Sattu in West Bengal and Jharkhand. It is available in 47g, 200g, 250g and 500g packs through general trade, with availability planned through modern trade and leading e-commerce platforms. The 47g value pack is priced at ₹10 and provides 10g of protein per pack, making the product accessible to a broad consumer base. With this launch, Aashirvaad combines the authenticity of a traditional regional food with the trust and quality associated with an established national brand, responding to growing consumer interest in nutritious foods that can easily fit into everyday diets.
