Samsung, the Korean electronic gaint launched another smart phone  “Samsung Galaxy S3” In India after unveiling it in Europe.

Samsung believes that the phone is a trendsetter, and it has been designed so carefully and added applications and features keeping Indian consumers in mind.  The smartphone is expected to pose stringent competition to Apple’s iPhone.

Galaxy series is one of the bestsellers from Samsung. The phone has got some interesting features like Smart Stay, which uses the front-facing camera to detect whether a user is looking at it and keeps the screen awake. It seems company has gone for premium pricing for this product and I feel that the company has to re-think at pricing of the product especially for Indian market.

REBRANDING OF SANTOOR SOAP

Santoor, one of the India's largest soap brands, gone for rebranding which has given a new look for the soap with a brand anthem and retains the same fragrance. Certainly, the rebranding  showcases new pack with a new logo that has given the brand a contemporary look. The more interesting part is the Santoor brand anthem holds the theme that reflects the core positioning of santoor soap. Which is “Soap for younger looking skin”.

The new ad of the brand features Saif Ali Khan and follows the same theme of mistaken identify that made the brand successful.

Personally, I feel that  mistaken identity has become old and boring and too predictable. There is also a saying that when ad become predictable, the more the message will be impressed upon in the customer's mind.
